The Build Up To Christmas

The festive season is finally upon us. With it, comes the Christmas frenzy shopping.  I know the smart and organised people have already done their shopping and even wrapped their gifts. Sadly I am yet to even start. I have been waiting for some sales so that I make some savings on my shopping. Speaking of gifts, I think I will opt for gift cards for those loved ones that are difficult to buy for. I know my mum always gets me gift cards simply because she thinks I never ever like anything she gets me for Christmas. Which is not entirely true.

Today’s post is sponsored by Jack Wills. *Jack Wills is a British brand bringing quality British heritage-inspired wares to our high streets. They also do gifts cards, so why not treat your loved one to a gift card this Christmas. Giving them that option of picking exactly what they want from both in store or online.

Black Friday 2017 is here and I have come up with some sort of strategy on how to shop like a pro in the up coming sales. Hopefully these tips will enable you to spend wisely and get the best value for money deals.

  1. Come up with a game plan

Now This may sound like a whole load of work but trust me, having a plan in mind before hitting the sales is the best thing and it will enable you to utilise your time in shops wisely. Have your plan ready before hitting the stores. It is so easy get carried away with pretty displays that will grab your attention and make you forget about that fancy jacket you initially went to look for in the sales.

  1. Go Shopping alone.

Rather than going with your best friend, your mum or sister, try going alone. Shopping for sales is a serious business and outside influences will just wreak havoc on your wallet.

  1. Thursdays are usually best days.

If you want to be the first to get your hands on a pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing, your best bet is to try shopping on a Thursday. Stores know that most people flock the high street in masses on the weekend, so they begin preparations on Thursday to mark down old merchandise.

  1. Do your research

This goes especially to those wanting to scoop the best sales online. Check which stores have better deals. You need to know exactly what you want to buy and then see which retailer sells it for a lower price or a greater markdown. Department stores generally have steeper discounts than boutique shops.

  1. Check Online
