STREET STYLE | ZARA GUIPURE LACE TOP

Still sticking to a pop of colour, today’s look is more of a colour block. I am sure you have noticed that I am not one to shy away from bright clothes. However, one thing I would say is, I choose my bright outfits pretty carefully. Last thing I want is to look like a rainbow. The other thing I consider after picking my pop of colour look is picking the right backdrop.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN CHOOSING A BACKDROP

When choosing a backdrop for your shoot, you need to consider your outfit and what sort of message you want to convey to your audience. Your choice of backdrops will give your outfit some life as well as a story to it. Visuals play a crucial role on both Instagram and your blog, therefore taking extra time to find a stunning location for your shoot will pay off in the end because you will smash the look, from zero to 100 real quick.

I tend to choose my backdrops selectively and this usually means that when Farai and I go out for a shoot, we tend to find multiple locations and take a variety of shoots. We do it this way because we dedicate the day to shoot. However, I know that not everyone will have that luxury, so if you are going to hire photographer, its best you plan ahead and make the most of your shoot. Preferably, I would suggest scouting for blog backdrops prior to your shoot because it will save you time. That way you will visualize your shoot and take fab pictures.

MY WEEKEND IN A NUTSHELL

I visited London over the weekend , to watch the ICC Champions Cricket match between South Africa vs Sri Lanka. It was an amazing experience because that was the first time I watched a live match. The atmosphere was so bubbly and everyone was dressed quiet colourfully, representing their individual teams. Farai and I were supporting SA and we were glad to see them win.
