BLOGGER COLLAB : STYLING MONOCHROME WITH SARAH

Stephylately | Wearing Boohoo Emeli Collar Coat, boohoo ankle boots and boohoo mum jeans
I must admit, I am freaking tired of winter!!! I went as far as trying to wear over ripped jeans the other day but boy was it cold. I had to wear a pair of tights underneath to stop my skinny self from dying of cold. The things we do for fashion lol. Anyway, I like the detail that I created with the tights underneath. Layering is key and helps one to stay warm and stylish.

Monochrome is one of the simplest trend to pull of and if you are minimalist, its probably your best choice. I for one love a bit of detail and colour to my looks so when Sarah from Princess Audu contacted me regarding a collaboration with the monochrome theme, I was definitely up for the challenge.

Sarah is fashion blogger from Nigeria and I have been one of her fans from way back even before I started my own blog. Her style is unique and classy, definitely the reason why I have followed her blog to date.

Monochrome can be pulled off in so many ways; For example a simple white Tee with some black jeans paired with the classic converses, or if you are feeling sassy a little black lace slip on dress with a white Tee underneath. Sarah went for touch of pattern with the stripped Jacket paired pleated skirt and went for some heeled sandals. She accessorized with a statement neck piece.

I thought I might add a pop of colour with the peach jacket. The bag was a fantastic touch to the look with the floral cut out details on it, I simply love it as a statement piece.

This was a fan collaboration and am sure you will see more in the near future. I was excited about the theme we chose because I was sure Sarah would bring here A game to the table as usual and because it would be a challenge to express our individual styles with monochrome. From the looks of things we pulled it off. Please don’t forget to head over to Sarah’s blog for more fabulous looks and further details of this look.

Whats your take on styling MONOCHROME?
