THE LAKE DISTRICT | KESWICK

We visited the picturesque Windermere lakes. The breathtaking Mountain landscape and tranquil lakes, quaint villages and streets, making it a perfect place to relax. So if you haven’t visited the Lakes, you should try checking it out.

Whilst visiting the Lake District we stayed at a cosy hotel called Inn on the Square, which is right in the heart of the town, Keswick. What mainly attracted me to this hotel was its excellent mix of Scandinavian designs and contemporary furniture with Cumbrian culture. We had the Town view room, facing the square outside with views of the countryside in the background.

In the evening, we had a meal at the hotel’s Brossen Steakhouse Restaurant. I found out that Brossen is a Cumberland dialect for “Full up” and it lives up to its name because we were filled up after are scrumptious meal.

The service was spot on though it was a little busy at the time we went there – could hardly hear each other speak at the table. But eventually it quietened down, Farai and I enjoyed our dinner. Anyway, I hope I have inspired you to go visit the Lake District, I guarantee you, you will have an amazing time.

What cool places have you visited of late?
