You are so beautiful, How come you are SINGLE?

Finally spring Is here which means a couple of weeks off uni. I have literally taken a long hiatus from the blog world and totally missed sharing posts on here, though if you follow me on other sites such as Instagram, you will be up to-date with my daily activities. Today’s post is going to be a little heart to heart which I certainly felt I would share.

Social media allows us to meet all sorts of people and as a young beautiful lady I  get all sorts guys professing undying love for me upon seeing my selfies on Instagram/facebook/twitter. Not that am trying to brag or anything of that nature. Seriously though, its crazy I tell you. Anyway, lol I was recently approached by a lovely gentleman who asked me this :

“You are so beautiful, How come you are single?”

It has actually become an annoying question but I have now come to understand that not everyone deserves an explanation from me as to why my status is the way it is. Relationships go beyond looks. It involves character, personality, principles and all sorts. Looks in itself does not determine who you end up with or how you get treated.

What I mean is that, even with a beautiful face, one can be cheated on and hurt in so many ways. A cute face is just a bonus. Being single doesn’t mean nobody loves you or wants you, its simply a phase we all go through. Some by choice, others don’t choose to be but find themselves in that position. Personally, I utilize this alone time to meditate on my life and discover me.

What is it that I really want? What did I learn from the previous relationship? How can I be a better person? Its not easy but it definitely helps to rediscover oneself and just embrace your life as an individual because many of the time we rely on the other half to define who we are forgetting that you as an individual can define yourself.

Anyway that aside, I sure hope others in a similar situation will relate. Before, I really started thinking there was something wrong with me but after much thought and accepting the past, it has helped pull through and realize that IT IS NORMAL TO BE SINGLE lol, so don’t let others tell you otherwise.

Sometimes its best to just wait for that great person with great chemistry, great conversations, mental and spiritual connection, than settling for any Jim and Jack just for the sake of having an #MCE/#MCM for the gram(instagram).

What’s your say on this? Anyone in a similar situation?

I hope you are having a lovely week so far.
