HOW I GOT STARTED BLOGGING & YOUTUBE

The internet is a busy place these days. And as you look around you it seems like every day there’s another blogger, another Influencer, another business woman doing EXACTLY what you’re doing, talking about the same topics that matter to you, working with that brand you’ve been dying to collaborate with, or launching a new project. – just like the one you’ve been working on.

Sound familiar?

I know. Frustrating. Discouraging. Disheartening.

But that shouldn’t stop you from pursuing your passion. Take a leap of faith and just start today. Have you set your 2018 goals yet? Maybe starting a blog or a YouTube channel should be on your list. Put it down on paper or stick it on your pin board. Trust me, by doing this, you will have overcome the most difficult stage. Step 2 – I would recommend you taking a few pointers on how to get started from my previous post here or by listening to my own journey in this video.

It doesn’t matter that there’s other people doing what you’re doing. You can still succeed, grow a following, a community and a business around your brand even if you are no were near your competitors.

How can I be so sure, you’re wondering?

Because no one out there is YOU.

You are unique. Your voice is unique. And the way you talk about what matters to you, the way you share your message is unique.

At the end of the day it is your story that will resonate with your audience, and that will make them fall in love with you.

I hope these words will help someone out there today. It might fear scary to put yourself out there, however if the next person can do it, so can you. Let’s make 2018 our year.

What are some of your goals for this coming year? I look forward to hearing from you.

  • I can’t understand why I am just coming across your blog, I have definitely been missing out!
Thank you for this message. I was starting to get discouraged, especially as I haven’t found my niche, and there are so many bloggers out there.
Reading this post made me feel less alone, and better, actually.
This year I want to be more consistent, improve my writing and maybe even sneak in a few DIYs!
    2018 will be awesome!!

I can relate on so many things – my biggest problem being consistency, but I’ll certainly be working to improve that. Thoroughly enjoyed the video and feeling very motivated! Thanks Steph!

PS: Please could you also share which lens you used.

    • Hi Beautiful! I receive that love from SA.Consistency is definitely key. I need to stick to that on my Youtube Channel. I am so happy to get such great feedback. I currently use the 50mm lens.

  • Girl you’ve come so far. I remember your earlier days blogging on your old platform (I realize that after you pronounced the name, I never got your name right lol). I just get so excited seeing your growth girl. That break was definitely much needed because you came back with a huge bang. Looking forward to seeing more great stuff on your blog journey.

    • Lol you get me, I just got tired of having to correct people each time the butchered the name. Thanks for the support hun. I really appreciate it. Looking forward to creating more content.

  • This post gives me flashbacks of where you came from. Congratulations. It’s nice seeing you on Youtube. Keep up the hard work, yes it is not easy. But at the end of the day, it is often worth it.
