Kimono Dress

Its getting rather chilly but don't want to say bye to the summery clothes just yet. Man how i love versatile pieces in my wardrobe. I saw this similar tie dye boho kimono dress in Zara a few seasons ago but it was a lil on the pricey side so when i finally found something affordable I thought why not. I was going to run a few errands in readiness for my birthday weekend that was last Saturday. I went for a laid back look, black on black and added this kimono tie dye dress. Its light and flowy but perfect cover up to spice up an outfit.

Minty x Maxi

Today's ootd (outfit of the day) features this gorgeous minty number from Zara sales. The are sales everywhere and its rather tempting to spend spend spend. Though I must say Zara sales are always justifiable most of the time. But I have to discipline myself for now because I will be starting uni next month. I am proper excited about this news and I will possibly share a bit more info on this in another post.

The flowy and airy feel to this dress makes it so comfy to wear and its a perfect outfit for summer!
One of the reasons why I love summer is the fact that i get to wear airy maxi dresses and not have to layer heavy coats on top. I was lucky enough to have found this mint green maxi in the zara sales about 3 weeks ago and frankly speaking am super glad that i got it as I really couldnt afford the initial price when it just came out. Great purchase.

I paired the dress with some white sandals for that extra sexy touch though one can trade heeled sandals for flat sandals.

Being a great fanatic of prints, I was obviously drawn to these leopard print palazzo pants. Am sure you have noticed that I seem to love wide legged pants and jumpsuits. I currently own three but this one seems to be my current favourite. I scooped these pants in the Zara sales for less than £20 and on top of that I could immediately see different ways of rocking them pants upon buying them.
The thing I love about leopard print is the fact that it goes with quiet a good amount of colours and prints if matched well. For instance, them pants could be worn with an orange long-sleeved blouse and a pair of black heels or u could choose a pink top for a girly chic look. Better still for those of us who love white this print can go pretty well with a crispy white button up shirt with a tailored white jacket for that sophisticated look. I will possibly try to put up more ways of how I style these pants later on. I decided to pair the pants with a black blouse and black heels though I eventually traded the pointy heels for a pair flat sandals for a comfy look. I added a waist belt to stitch in my waist a lil to give me some shape. What do you think?

A hot summers day calls for a hot outfit. What an absolutely wonderful week it was and to be honest I felt like I was on holiday in another country, weather was on point with tops of 28 in some places. Absolutely amazing. This is the season when everyone is in hyper jolly moods and of course wearing loads of bright colors as well as wearing close to nothing. I have a thing for striking pieces and colors so if this post hurts your eyes, I do apologize , errrh not. Wearing bright colors actually boosts your mood so I never shy away away from it. My gorgeous jumpsuit is from H&M , I bought it months ago though so it might not still be in store.

Thanx and have a blessed week ahead of you.

The lovely feeling of waking up to birds chirping early in the morning, rays of sunshine hitting your face as if to tell you to get up and seize the day. How am loving each day as it comes, most of all its just a blessing to be able to wake up in good health and as energetic as ever. Have a positive perception in life and you will see how wonderful life can be. Anyway back to the post, I recently purchased this maxi shirt or shirt dress whatever you want to call it. The fact that its so flowy allowing that wonderful breeze inside. Totally worth the purchase. I paired it with simple jeans and simple mint green lace up sandals. My initial look was to pair the Maxi shirt with shorts but am not a huge fun of shorts to be honest but it would totally go.

My skin care routine changes from time to time depending on what am using at that particular time. I am not one who has bad breakouts like i formally used to. The only major issue I have is finding that one product that will help get rid of my blemishes. I don't really go for far expensive products and tend to limit my options to drug store products like Nuetrogena and Simple products. However,  I recently got introduced to forever living products by my mum and I thought i would try them out. The forever aloe scrub being my favourite in the collection pack I bought. It leaves that fresh clean feel after use.

I generally clean my face with a makeup wipe before bed each night and rinse it with warm water in the shower, so it’s safe to say my cleansing routine is somewhat lacking. The Aloe Scrub claims to be gentle enough to use every day, yet strong enough to clear pores of debris and dirt whilst protecting the skin from the drying and damaging effects of synthetic cleansers, ahem, my makeup wipes! After using the  scrub I use the aloe hands and face wash gently rubbing it all over my face.
Then after washing my face I pat my face dry and apply the aloe moisturizing lotion in circular motions till it sinks in. The aloe propolis creme on the other hand is also an excellent moisturizing creme but felt like it wasn't really for me only because its meant for more sensitive skins. Its a 90's Thing

Hi loves,

Hope ya'll had a lovely weekend because I did quite enjoy mine. Am not one follow every trend but I couldn't resist the dungaree trend. Dungarees or overalls always seem to come back in fashion from time to time.
Being a 90's chick I actually never got to wear dungarees because i just didn't like the look and the hideous bright colors that they normally came in. However, the denim dungarees somehow looked more appealing to me. I went for a tight fit to avoid the square buggy look. The good thing about dungarees is that you can either dress them up or go for a laid back look. I opt for a chic casual look with a touch of leopard print for a feminine touch. initially I was going to wear a cropped top but i decided to go for the whole denim on denim look.

Three Reasons Why I Love Dungarees:
1)   It’s an entire outfit- You don’t need to spend thirty minutes wondering about matching tops and bottoms. There’s no, “Should I wear this green shirt with these jeans?” because it’s a 2-in-1 deal. That, in itself, just makes your morning easier.
2)   There are so many different styles- The classic and probably most popular dungaree is the denim trouser.
3)   You can take it from day to night- Dungarees can be worn to the mall as well as on a date. The key to taking the look from day to night is the styling by simply swapping the flats for stilettos or platform heels and add some edgy accessories and a classy coat.

Roman Chic

It's been a lovely week so far and it being a day off full of sunshine I grabbed the day and made the most of it . I was going for a chic and comfy look more boho and trendy. Am very much aware of my skinny legs and really hesitated on getting myself a pair of knee high gladiators. A contemporary take on Roman sandals, the gladiator sandals are not only comfortable flat sandals but they’re extremely versatile. Glad I did because I absolutely love them now . One of the most comfy pair of sandals I own.
